- cancellation
You cancel Flywheel from the Billing page of your dashboard, one subscription at a time. If you bought a new plan within the last 60 days, you can also ask for a full refund by email.
Refund rules
- Window: 60 days from purchasing a new website hosting plan.
- Covered: New Tiny and Startup plans (Flywheel's FAQ still uses these older plan names), and new Freelance plans without custom onboarding.
- Not covered: Agency and Custom plans, upgrades, and renewals.
- How to claim: Cancel the plan in your dashboard, then email [email protected] to request the refund.
Back up first
On the cancellation date you lose access to every site on the subscription and all of their backups. Download the latest backup of each site first.
How to cancel
- Open the user menu at the top right and select Billing. For a subscription owned by an organization, use the context switcher at the top right to switch to that organization.
- Click Details on the subscription you want to cancel.
- On the subscription Overview, hover over the gear icon at the top right and select Cancel subscription.
- Leave feedback if you like, then click Request Cancellation.
Flywheel's Billing Team emails you to confirm. Repeat the steps for each other subscription.
Only the owner of a personal subscription can cancel it; collaborators cannot. For an organization's subscription, any member of the organization can.
What you keep and what you lose
On the cancellation date you lose the sites, their backups, and any legacy pricing on that subscription. Growth Suite users also lose client billing, the client portal, Stripe connections, and white-labeled domains. Your Flywheel account, organizations, saved payment methods, and blueprints stay.
Single-site plans
On a Tiny or Starter plan, deleting the site (gear icon → Delete site) also offers to cancel the subscription. After deleting a site, remove any DNS records still pointing to Flywheel.
Moving to another host?
Migrate and switch DNS before cancelling. Compare five-year costs on the Flywheel renewal price page, or see Flywheel against WP Engine and Kinsta.
