You cancel HostPapa with the cancellation form in My Services in your dashboard, or with a ticket or email to its billing department. A cancellation only takes effect once billing confirms it, which can take 3 to 5 business days.

Refund rules

HostPapa's Refund and Cancellation Policy (updated August 2026) says:

  • Money-back guarantee: Cancel within 30 days of your first hosting purchase for a full refund of web hosting, VPS, Optimized WordPress, Managed WordPress, and reseller hosting fees for the initial term. You must request it in writing through your dashboard within that period.
  • Standard refunds: Products billed for a year or more are refundable within 30 days of the transaction; shorter terms within 48 hours. The transaction date includes renewal dates.
  • First-time accounts only: If you had an account before or opened a second one, you are not eligible.
  • Free domain: If your plan came with a free domain, its then-current rate is deducted from the refund.
  • Never refunded: Domain registrations and renewals, domain privacy, email products, SSL certificates, migration services, website transfers, and several other add-ons listed in the policy.

Refunds arrive within 90 days of the cancellation.

Back up first

Once a cancellation is processed, your files, email, and account may be removed immediately and permanently. Download everything first.

How to cancel

  1. Log in to your HostPapa dashboard and go to My Services.
  2. Open the web-based cancellation form for the service.
  3. State which service you are cancelling and whether it should end immediately or at the end of your term.
  4. Submit the form, and ask for your money-back refund in writing through the dashboard if you are inside 30 days.

HostPapa reviews the request within 3 to 5 business days and emails you when it is processed or if it needs more information. Allow for that delay before a renewal date.
