Liquid Web's managed WordPress plans run on the Nexcess platform, and you cancel each plan from the client portal. Closing your whole account is a separate step handled by the billing team.
Before you cancel
- Back up your sites. Download files and databases before the cancellation date.
- Check for a contract. A service bound by a contract cannot be cancelled until the contract ends.
- Cancel each service separately. Every hosting service needs its own cancellation request.
How to cancel a plan
- Log in to the client portal and click Plans in the left menu.
- Click the three-dot icon to the right of the plan you want to cancel.
- Give feedback on why you are cancelling, then click Submit.
- The plan shows Pending Cancellation on the Plans page.
The service stays active until the cancellation request is submitted and a cancellation date is assigned.
Changed your mind?
Click the three-dot icon next to the plan again, choose Restore Service, and confirm. The plan returns to normal without a pending cancellation date.
Closing your whole account
Cancel every service first. Then contact the 24/7 billing team by email at [email protected] or through the client portal to close the account.
What about a refund?
Liquid Web's managed WordPress page and cancellation guide do not describe a money-back guarantee for these plans. If you have only just signed up, ask the billing team about a refund before you cancel.
Moving to another host?
Migrate your site and switch DNS before the cancellation date. Compare five-year costs on the Liquid Web renewal price page, or see Liquid Web against WP Engine.
