How to Cancel Namecheap EasyWP and Get a Refund
How to turn off EasyWP auto-renewal or cancel immediately, when a refund is possible (30 days after sign-up or 24 hours after renewal), and what happens to your site.
- namecheap
- cancellation
There are two ways to cancel Namecheap EasyWP: switch off auto-renewal and let the subscription run out, or ask Support to cancel it right away. Refunds always go through Support.
Refund rules
You can request a refund if you cancel:
- Within 30 days of creating the subscription, or
- Within 24 hours after a renewal
Turning off auto-renewal on its own does not trigger a refund; you have to contact Support.
Option 1: Turn off auto-renewal
- Log in to your Namecheap account and open the Apps menu.
- Select the Subscriptions tab.
- Find the EasyWP subscription and switch its toggle to OFF (it turns grey).
The site stays online until the current billing period ends. Then the subscription is cancelled automatically.
Option 2: Cancel immediately (and request a refund)
Contact Namecheap Support, which is available 24/7, and ask to cancel the EasyWP subscription now. If you are inside a refund window, ask for the refund at the same time.
Immediate cancellation removes the website and all its content permanently once the request is processed, so download a backup first.
Moving to another host?
Migrate your site and switch DNS before you cancel. If price is the reason, compare five-year costs on the Namecheap renewal price page, or see EasyWP against Hostinger and Bluehost.
