How to Migrate a WordPress Site to HostArmada (Free Website Transfer)

Step 1: Open a Website Transfer ticket

Submit a support ticket to HostArmada in the Website Transfer category.

Step 2: Give access for the right transfer type

Full cPanel migration (if your old host uses cPanel)

Provide your current host's login URL and credentials, or your cPanel URL and credentials. A full cPanel backup brings everything across: email accounts, FTP accounts, subdomains, addon domains, aliases, redirects, and your files and databases.

HostArmada falls back to a manual transfer if it cannot make a full backup, for example when your old host has disabled cPanel backups, the account is too big (usually over 30 GB), or the backup times out or gets corrupted.

Manual transfer (other hosts)

Provide FTP or SSH login details plus phpMyAdmin (or similar database tool) access. The team moves your files and database and deploys them on your account.

A manual transfer does not include email accounts, aliases, or subdomains. Move or recreate those on your new cPanel account yourself.

Step 3: Test the site

HostArmada runs its own checks after the move, but cannot test every part of your site. If something is wrong, contact support with step-by-step instructions to reproduce it, plus a screenshot or video.

Step 4: Point your domain

Once the site works, update your domain's DNS to HostArmada.
