HostPapa's PapaSquad moves websites to HostPapa for free once you have bought a hosting account. You request it with a support ticket, then share access to your current host.

Who qualifies

  • New accounts only, with a confirmed account and welcome email.
  • Deadline: Start the migration within 30 days of receiving your welcome email.
  • Upgrades: Accounts being upgraded in a way that needs a full server change also get a free migration.

No account yet? See how to sign up for HostPapa.

What is included

  • Website files, images, and media
  • Scripts and applications, tested to make sure they still work
  • MySQL databases
  • Your email configuration

From a cPanel host with its backup generator active, a full cPanel transfer also brings all domains, add-on domains, subdomains, cPanel settings, and email accounts. From other hosts, HostPapa does a manual transfer.

What is not included

Migrations are "as is": no changes to content, layout, or navigation. Moving a site to a new domain or changing its URL is not included. HostPapa cannot transfer from VistaPrint, Intuit, Wix, Weebly, or Website Tonight.

Step 1: Open a support ticket

Log in to your HostPapa dashboard and open a support ticket. In the subject line, say you want to transfer your website from your current provider. In the message, include the name of your current host, your website URL, and anything else that might help.

Step 2: Share access

A PapaSquad member replies asking for more information and the login credentials for your current host, then starts the transfer. HostPapa reviews each request individually, and some host setups limit what it can move.

Step 3: Point your domain

When the migration is done, change your domain's nameservers to send it to your new HostPapa account.
