GreenGeeks sells WordPress hosting in three plans: Lite, Pro, and Premium. The intro price is for a prepaid 12-month term, and each plan card states the renewal price, which is four to five times higher.
Before you start: compare the plans
As of October 2026, GreenGeeks' WordPress page lists:
| Plan | First 12 months | Renews at | Websites | Storage |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Lite | $2.95/mo | $13.95/mo | 1 | 25 GB |
| Pro | $4.95/mo | $18.95/mo | Unlimited | 50 GB |
| Premium | $8.95/mo | $30.95/mo | Unlimited | 100 GB |
GreenGeeks says promotional prices apply to the initial term only. The GreenGeeks renewal price page shows what that means over five years.
Step 1: Choose a plan
On GreenGeeks' WordPress hosting page, click Get Started under the plan you want. Lite hosts a single site; Pro and Premium host unlimited sites.
Step 2: Add a domain and pay
Register a new domain or use one you already own; a domain is included for the first year. Then complete checkout. All hosting is paid in full upfront.
Step 3: Watch for your setup emails
After you sign up, GreenGeeks sends:
- GreenGeeks Login Details: access to your dashboard, support tickets, and cPanel.
- New Account Information: your plan, billing cycle, FTP login, and nameservers.
- Domain registration email: only if GreenGeeks registered a domain for you.
Using a domain registered elsewhere? It will not reach your GreenGeeks account until you change its nameservers to the ones in the New Account Information email.
Step 4: Install WordPress
- Log in to GreenGeeks and click Manage next to your domain.
- In the left panel, click Site → App Installer.
- Click Install Apps and pick WordPress from the Application list.
- Keep the default installation path and enter an Admin Username and Password.
- Click Install Application.
When the install finishes, click Dashboard next to it to log in to WordPress. Moving a site instead? See our GreenGeeks migration guide; the free migration must be requested within 30 days of sign-up.
What to check after you sign up
- Refund window: 30 days from account activation, minus domain and add-on fees. See our GreenGeeks cancellation guide.
- Renewal reminders: GreenGeeks emails you 15 to 30 days before renewal. To stop a renewal, turn off auto-renew at least 5 business days before it.
