How to Cancel Kinsta and Get a Refund (30-Day Guarantee)
How to cancel a Kinsta WordPress plan in MyKinsta, how the 30-day money-back guarantee works for first-time customers, and what gets deleted.
- kinsta
- cancellation
You cancel Kinsta from MyKinsta, and the same steps work at any time. What changes is the timing: inside the first 30 days the plan ends immediately with a refund; after that it runs to the end of the billing period.
Refund rules
- Window: 30 days after activating the plan. If you started on a free first month, the 30 days begin when the free month ends.
- Eligibility: First-time customers only.
- Not covered: Dedicated server fees, one-time fees, and overages. Any fees incurred during the first 30 days are deducted from the refund.
- Plan changes: Upgrading or downgrading does not restart the 30 days.
Back up first
Cancelling deletes your live and staging environments and all DNS records in MyKinsta. Kinsta says the data is permanently deleted and cannot be recovered, so download backups and recreate DNS elsewhere first.
How to cancel
Only the Company Owner can do this.
- In MyKinsta, go to Company settings → My Plan → Cancel plan.
- Tick each box confirming you understand what will be deleted.
- Click Next.
- Within the first 30 days, review the Final Invoice tab, which shows the refund due.
- Enter your MyKinsta password and click Cancel plan.
After the first 30 days
The plan stays active until the end of the current billing period and is not renewed; add-ons are cancelled too. Kinsta issues a final invoice then. Changed your mind before the period ends? Go to Company settings → My Plan → Reactivate plan.
Moving to another host?
Migrate your site and move DNS before cancelling. Compare five-year costs on the Kinsta renewal price page, or see Kinsta against WP Engine and WPX.
