Flywheel is WP Engine's managed WordPress platform for designers, freelancers, and agencies. Its plans are sized by sites, visits, storage, and bandwidth, and Flywheel offers a 60-day money-back guarantee on new plans, except Agency, Custom, and Freelance plans with custom onboarding.

Before you start: pick a plan

As of October 2026, Flywheel's pricing page lists these annual prices:

PlanPer monthBilled yearlySitesMonthly visitsStorageBandwidth
Starter$25/mo$300/yr125,00010 GB50 GB
Freelance$96/mo$1,150/yrUp to 10100,00020 GB200 GB
Agency$242/mo$2,900/yrUp to 30400,00050 GB500 GB

Need one more site than your plan allows? Additional sites cost $20/month or $200/year. Bigger setups get a Custom plan through sales. See the Flywheel renewal price page for the five-year cost.

Step 1: Choose a plan

On the pricing page, click Choose Plan under the plan you want. Free migrations, a free SSL certificate, staging sites, nightly backups, and 24/7 chat support come with every plan.

Step 2: Create your first site

  1. Log in and click Create A New Site.
  2. Choose a plan, or add the site to a plan you already have.
  3. Fill out the form: Site Owner (you or an organization), Site Name, a Temporary Domain (or leave it blank for a random one), a Data Center, and a WP-Admin username and password, which are separate from your Flywheel login.
  4. Optionally pick a Blueprint to start from a saved theme and plugin setup.
  5. Click Create Site.

Flywheel emails you when the site is ready. Moving an existing site instead? Flywheel migrates it for free; see our Flywheel migration guide.

What to check after you sign up

  • Refund window: 60 days from buying a new plan. Agency and Custom plans, upgrades, and renewals are excluded. See our Flywheel cancellation guide.
  • Add-ons: Managed Plugin Updates ($8/month per site) and Performance Insights ($25/month plus $2 per extra site) are optional.
