IONOS sells Hosting for WordPress in three plans: Start, Grow, and Boost. The advertised prices are for the first year of a 1-year term, and every plan includes a domain, email, and an SSL certificate.
Before you start: compare the plans
As of October 2026, IONOS's Hosting for WordPress page lists:
| Plan | First year | Then | SSD storage | Email addresses |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Start | $5/mo | $8/mo | 25 GB | 1 |
| Grow | $1/mo | $12/mo | 50 GB | 5 |
| Boost | $12/mo | $17/mo | 75 GB | 10 |
Grow is the cheapest plan in year one but jumps the most afterward. The IONOS renewal price page shows the five-year cost.
Step 1: Pick a plan
Click Add to cart under the plan you want. All three include the Website Cockpit for WordPress, vulnerability scans, automatic backups, and the AI Website Builder. Grow and Boost add 12 months of Jetpack Vault backups; Boost also removes malware automatically.
Step 2: Choose your domain and check out
Pick the domain included with your plan, then complete checkout to create your IONOS account.
Step 3: Create your WordPress project
In your IONOS account, create a WordPress project for your plan and start building, with or without the AI builder. Moving an existing site? IONOS does not migrate sites for you on its standard package; our IONOS migration guide shows the plugin method.
What to check after you sign up
- Money-back guarantee: If it applies to your contract, an End trial period now button appears in the contract details during the first month. See our IONOS cancellation guide.
- Minimum term: Outside the guarantee, you can cancel at any time but must respect the minimum contract term and notice period.
